Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4, 1954. She is a comedian as well as an actress and writer. O'Hara has been awarded a range of awards, including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also won two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018 she was named an Officer of Canada. In 2020, she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Awards. O'Hara made her name as an actress when she was a part of 1974 of The Second City, an improvisational comedy troupe based in Toronto. Together with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the primary casting in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara began working alongside Candy on Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara was acknowledged for her stand-up comedy and writing abilities, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Writing for Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
